About the Fabric

Matka Muslin combines the naturally textured character of Matka silk with the airy lightness of muslin. The fabric is breathable, comfortable and drapes gracefully while retaining its distinctive handcrafted appearance.

The Jamdani motifs are woven directly into the fabric using a supplementary-weft technique. They are woven details—not embroidery or prints. Minor variations in the weave and texture are natural characteristics of a handwoven saree and should not be considered defects.
